Electrochemist (f/m/d)

STOFF2 is a pioneer in innovative electrolysis-technology to produce green hydrogen on an industrial scale. Our inherent energy storage function, hybrid hydrogen and electricity output, and high efficiency make our Zinc Intermediary Electrolyser the ideal technology to decarbonize various industrial processes.

We have an opportunity for an Electrochemist to join us and expand our Research & Development capabilities.  Your efforts will help us to continuously improve the design, functionality, and efficiency of our technology. Responsibilities

• Expansion, maintenance, and operation of laboratory facilities
• Prepare, analyse, and evaluate tests of various lab and prototype reactors
• Investigation and characterization of new materials, electrolytes, and processes
• Establish and maintain interactive processes across other departments
• Helping with research grants and applications
• Assist in the planning and development of prototypes
• Coordinate external research institutes and partners

About You

Knowledge and Experience

• Enthusiasm for green hydrogen technologies
• Degree in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Knowledge of electrochemical methods and understanding of water electrolysis
• Academic or industrial experience pertaining to alkaline electrolysers and/or electroplating processes would be a plus
• Understanding of materials, catalysts, electrolytes, and electrochemical processes in an alkaline environment
• Capability to operate laboratory experiments and equipment and wet chemistry skills
• Acquisition and evaluation of experimental results and capability to plan further steps
• Excellent communication skills in German and/or English
